She later obtained her HR Management Bachelor's degree and worked in benefits before returning to her expertise in healthcare authorizations. Based in Dallas, Texas, she advises new professionals to ask in-depth questions and be assertive when dealing with insurance companies.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ashley

01What do you attribute your success to?

I just think being passionate about it, you know, like, I have, you know, want to help patients. ... So just making sure that you're passionate about what you're doing, and that, you know, you want to help people. It's definitely fulfilling when you see those patients

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would definitely say, you know, when you're first getting into it, you know, lists, it's really hard when you're calling insurances. ... make sure you ask those, you know, more in-depth questions. ... don't be afraid, you know, to push a little bit. I mean, you don't, you know, you can be assertive, you know, and still be nice to people
