Her Story

About Ashley

Ashley Ingram is the operations supervisor for Fusion Site Services, operating as A Clean Portico, where she oversees the San Antonio, Eagle Pass, and Laredo locations. Promoted to this role in June after four and a half years in the portable sanitation industry, she previously worked in sales while also performing hands-on duties including unit deliveries and temporary fence setup. In her current position, Ingram manages fleet maintenance, logistics, routing adjustments, inventory, safety protocols, and customer relationships across multiple sites, often stepping in to handle disaster relief orders and driver support. She holds an associate's degree in liberal arts earned in 2012 and maintains active involvement with the Hispanic Contractors Association in San Antonio, which has aided her business development efforts. Ingram attributes her professional growth to strong mentorship from a female market lead and the supportive environment at her company, which has enabled her to build confidence and expand her capabilities in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ashley

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my mentorship. I did have a female market lead who I can look up to in this male-dominated industry. Coming from a company that's well-rounded and has taught me well. Also the way I was raised - my mother was a police officer, the second female in our city with 35 years as a detective, which instilled overcoming adversity. The company nurtured my talent and helped me create space I need.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Not to limit myself. Always strive and give 110% and not to doubt myself. Never doubt myself, always tell myself that I'm capable. Remember the customer because we prioritize customers in this service company. Prioritize giving the best service, team first, not thinking about yourself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

There is a lot more females in this industry than you would think. Women are more detail-oriented and have a lot of grit. Not to think that you can't do it. Look up to mentors, get on LinkedIn, reach out to other women in the industry because having a female mentor gives a whole other perspective on handling situations as a woman in this role.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is really important - doing the right thing even when nobody's looking. Building respect and trust. When you say you're going to do what you say you're going to do. When you can't or mess up, own it, be honest, be transparent. People will respect that more than trying to hide it.
