What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of great opportunities, the guidance and encouragement of my mother—who always insisted I be independent—hard work, and a genuine commitment to connecting with and caring for the well-being of my clients. Each of these factors has shaped not only my career but also the meaningful relationships I’ve built along the way.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was from a law school upperclassman: “You don’t need to reinvent the wheel.” It taught me to build on what works and focus my energy where it matters most.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: make sure you truly want it. Passion and commitment are essential, because this field demands dedication, resilience, and a willingness to invest in your growth. When you’re certain it’s the right path, you’re much more likely to thrive.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating cases that are particularly complex or daunting, especially when motions are contested due to evolving laws. At the same time, these challenges present opportunities to sharpen legal strategy, deepen expertise, and find innovative solutions that benefit clients.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are kindness, compassion, and applying both intelligence and a sense of humor. I believe that thoughtful, empathetic interactions combined with clear thinking—and the ability to find lightness when appropriate—create stronger relationships and better outcomes.
