About Ashley
I'm a native to Memphis, Tennessee, and both of my parents are immigrants from Mexico, so education was highly valued in our household. Through mentorship at my private high school, I received a full-ride scholarship from QuestBridge to attend Columbia University, where I studied financial economics and political science. One of my first internships was with Southeastern Asset Management Firm (SAM), the same firm that helped fund my high school education, where I got a full breadth of the investment process from investor relations to trading and research. I worked on a project helping them with their highly concentrated portfolio. This led me to an internship at BlackRock under their iShares division in risk management, where I helped clients like RIAs and advisory firms understand where risk was attributed to and where returns were coming from. When I joined Bloomberg, I participated in the analytics and sales program, gaining full understanding of equities, fixed income, commodities, currency, and economics within their terminal solutions. I then took on a role as a Global Content Manager (GCM), a senior position where I taught market knowledge to new people and anyone needing to freshen up their understanding - I was the teacher and coordinator for anything within the equities department. This experience led me to my current role as an Account Manager, where I service sales-side and buy-side institutions, helping them solve workflow pain points around equity derivatives and municipal bonds.
