About Ashley
Ashley Loveless serves as Director with Adams County government in public health, a role she has held after approximately 8 years in the field. She earned her master's in public health and doctorate in public health after switching her undergraduate focus. Loveless has transitioned from traditional public health into criminal justice initiatives, focusing on jail-oriented and justice-related work. She owns the consulting business High Level Health Solutions and completed a pilot project with a Canadian agency on substance use and immigration. Loveless attributes her success to prioritizing mental health at work, creating psychological safety, pushing through fear to take leaps, building relationships, and supporting other women in overcoming challenges together. She advises young women entering the industry to seize relevant opportunities, remain adaptable when facing obstacles, avoid letting fear or imposter syndrome hold them back, ask questions, and proceed one day at a time.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to working on mental health from a work perspective, creating psychological safety, taking the leap and pushing through fear, building relationships through the journey, and women building up other women by talking about experiences and overcoming fear together.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take every opportunity that you can that is relevant to your career even if it's not interesting to you pursue it. Be adaptable in finding another door if someone tells you no. Don't let fear or imposter syndrome hold you back. Google things, ask questions, stick with it one day at a time.
