Ashley Patten

I've been working in entrepreneurship for about three years now, ever since I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with my degree in entrepreneurship. When I graduated, I opened my own business called Venture Formation L3C, which is a low-profit limited liability company. It's all about helping people start their own businesses. I work with clients on their business proposals and help them prepare pitches. For example, right now I'm helping my sister prepare a pitch for a dog park business she wants to open - she has a meeting with the town council. I also helped a friend in Monroe who is a professional welder start his own welding company, and I'm really proud of that achievement. Every day is different depending on whether I have active clients or not. I'm currently working on my master's degree in Global Sustainable Development from Eastern University, and I'm set to graduate in December. I haven't made a lot of money yet, but that's okay because it's really about helping people, and I get to do that.
