About Ashley
Ashley Thomas is an experienced financial professional and Assistant Vice President, Financial Solutions Advisor II at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, where she has served since 2019. Her career in financial services followed six years in timeshare marketing and two years as a bank teller, giving her a diverse foundation in client service and financial guidance. She holds SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses and provides holistic strategies focused on investment growth, retirement planning, and legacy building.
Ashley specializes in helping clients rebuild their financial confidence through transparent, goal-based guidance while also serving as a trusted team leader and mentor. Her leadership is grounded in empowering others, explaining the “why” behind their work, and creating an environment where people can continue to learn and grow. Her achievements include being named a 2022 Pinnacle Diamond Winner by Bank of America for excellence in client service, leadership, and business impact, as well as being recognized as a Spotlight Mentee through the 2025 Black Professional Group Mentorship Program.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ashley is passionate about financial education and expanding access to wealth-building conversations for first-generation wealth builders and historically underserved communities. She supports initiatives such as KR Scholars, which helps youth access scholarships, career certifications, financial education, and workforce preparation. Guided by faith, hard work, service, and a commitment to uplifting others, Ashley continues to build a career focused on financial empowerment, leadership, and creating lasting impact for individuals and future generations.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, inspiration, and, above all, my faith in God. I stay motivated by seeing the results of my efforts and continuing to challenge myself to reach new heights.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to never be afraid to ask for help or ask why. Being curious and seeking guidance has helped me learn, grow, and improve.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family, adventure, and making meaningful memories are important to me. I value spending quality time with my children and embracing new experiences, whether that’s visiting theme parks or trying something adventurous like zip-lining.
