Her Story
About Ashley
Ashley Veltre is the Founder of her own business consulting firm specializing in property management operations. She began her career in property management, starting in leasing roles and advancing quickly to regional positions. In those roles, she identified operational issues within companies and developed solutions, which became her niche. This expertise led her to begin consulting for other businesses by word of mouth, building a practice that has grown steadily. Ashley plans to expand her firm to include several consultants and develop ready-to-use operational manuals for business owners. She attributes her success to her resilience, noting that she pivots when needed but does not give up. Based in San Diego after relocating from Colorado, Ashley participates in community service such as beach cleanups and feeding the homeless, and she is joining the Women's Commerce association along with other local groups.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ashley
01What do you attribute your success to?
My mom says that my middle name is Resilience... there's not a lot that keeps me down. I will pivot, I'll try something different, but I don't give up. My daughter said to me once, she said, Mom, I've learned to choose your heart, so it's gonna be hard either way.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay consistent and don't give up, and just stick with it. For property management specifically, have thick skin because it's been a boys' club and you have to let it roll off your shoulders. Dealing with tenants can be rough so be prepared.
