About Ashley
Ashley Wane is the founder and advocate in the Parkinson's community, where she has held leadership roles for approximately six months after an initial period of navigating the condition independently. A graduate of Virginia Tech with an engineering degree, she began her career in IT consulting at Accenture, where she worked for 20 years, building expertise in problem solving and systems integration. Following her Parkinson's diagnosis, she left her position to focus on advocacy, drawing from her professional experience to identify gaps in community support, education, and collaboration among stakeholders. Based in Annandale, Virginia, she emphasizes the importance of community-driven approaches and mentoring within the Parkinson's space.
