Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ashley
01What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work and my parents. My parents worked very hard and taught my brother and I that if you put your foot forward that you would get where you wanted in life, and sitting back and allowing somebody to do it for you was not the way to get there, and we've always been hard workers, and we've always done what we needed to do on our own.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just go for it. Don't let anything hold you back, and don't believe, especially for single women. I was a single mom at one point, and I thought that I'd never be able to do it. Don't ever give up. There's always a way to do something. There's always people to help. Don't put all of your personal life out there, but step in and say something, and there are people to help, and there are ways to help. In a job setting, but go for it. You're just as good as the person standing beside of you.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My personal life, number one, is my family. I do everything I do for my family. ... as far as work, My number one at work is giving the employer and the business all I've got. When I am on the clock, and I'm even off the clock, if I'm needed, I'm there. I'm giving 100, 110%.
