Her Story
About Asma
Asma Khan is a solo practitioner with nearly 15 years of experience in law. Originally inspired by her desire to advocate for women's rights and address injustice in her conservative home country, she pursued a JD and went on to become the first female partner at a leading law firm with a 70-year history, where she specialized in arbitration. Sponsored by White & Case LLP for her Master's degree with a focus on international commercial arbitration, Khan now maintains a solo practice while chairing committees on environmental law, commercial, corporate, and human rights issues through the American Bar Association. She also serves as a part-time FINRA arbitrator, engages in pro bono work and NGO initiatives, and is pursuing an SJD in environmental law, which she has deferred temporarily to focus on other professional commitments. Khan is additionally affiliated with the Miami Law Society and holds various certifications including those related to arbitration and international work with the IFC and World Bank.
