About Aspen
Aspen Bingham is the founder-owner of SIP Sustainability, an educational platform for hospitality that stands for Sustainable Innovations, Practices, and Standards. She founded the company this year after 12 years in the hospitality industry and 10 years of sustainability consulting for liquor brands, bars, and local organizations. Her work includes creative storytelling for local farms and restaurants practicing sustainability, workshops to help bar professionals implement sustainable practices, and community fundraisers through cocktails and events such as those raising money to plant trees in the Phoenix, Arizona area. With a background in the craft cocktail industry including bar managing and bartending at high-end bars, she developed themed cocktails with a conscience that led to her current focus. She has been a finalist twice in the Torres Brandy Zero Challenge competition, which helped bring her company to life.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Keep your continuous education going on. Sustainability is a field that always has something new to learn. It does put women in the forefront of it, and it is a great field to be in. As a woman, you can really own that field. Find the people around you that are going to support you and find other women who are doing sustainability as well.
