About Atasha
I serve as Director of Operations and Business Development for Dalkia Energy Solutions, a smart infrastructure solutions company that works with municipalities and large companies to provide smart solutions to their lighting issues. We hold one of the largest contracts for CPS, which does all the power in South Texas, and we run their streetlight program as well as the solar installation program for the city of San Antonio. We're highly focused on solar, power, energy, and streetlight maintenance. My career path has been quite diverse. I'm an Army veteran who did intelligence work, and after my service, I spent 16 years working with the government, running huge programs for Space Force and Air Force. I never even thought about lighting before this role, but I've found it to be pretty fun and rewarding work. Beyond my professional responsibilities, I'm passionate about empowering women in the energy sector. I started a women's group within my company called Women in Energy Dalkia U.S., where we internally promote, mentor, and train the women who work there. We also focus externally into the community, working with nonprofit organizations for young girls in STEM programs. We try to empower them, help them find their dreams in life, and give them motivation and support in making decisions in their careers and in their life. I'm also a fitness teacher and I'm really into well-being, fitness, and self-care, which I think is part of the vibe that I exude. I try to live good and positively in everything that I do.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my belief in God. I think that He just has a path for me that's bigger than maybe I've even thought about yet. I just know there's something there, and I feel like a lot of great things that happen to me, it's not my doing. Like, it's really the Lord that does these things. It's so weird, like, I don't know, I just try really hard, but I think it's that. I mean, yeah, I have a lot of schooling and all these things, and I work hard. I'm focused and motivated and all those things, but honestly, the Lord, I just know He has a bigger plan for me.
