About Audrene
Audrene Edwards is a biostatistician with seven years of experience. She holds a bachelor's and master's in mathematics along with completion of the Moore Method Apprenticeship teaching program and one year of study toward a second master's in data science. Edwards teaches statistics to pharmacy residents and other medical trainees while supporting physicians across specialties on research projects that involve data consultation, IRB approval processes, study design, and statistical analysis. She also contributes to medical research grants and delivers evidence-based medicine lectures to help practicing physicians evaluate published studies for patient care applications. Her path into the field was inspired by undergraduate research that earned third place in a national award, followed by teaching roles at community colleges and a university before transitioning into biostatistics to combine her passions for research, teaching, and health. In the coming years, Edwards aims to incorporate more machine learning into medical research and expand her role in mentorship and leadership.
