What do you attribute your success to?
Courage and determination. Not be afraid of challenges or the word “No”. Going in with tunnel vision (Success) and utilizing resources, resilience and repetition to get the job done. I’ve learned in order to be successful you have to work hard. Period. You’ve got to show up at 4am and do those boring and mundane tasks no one wants to. People fall in love with “success” but they hate the process. The process is what gets you there. You have to embrace the boredom and repetition in order to reap the rewards.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be scared and do it anyway. Be under qualified and get in the room anyway. Be messy, imperfect and unsure and show up anyway. Comfort is the enemy of growth. Get uncomfortable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The hospitality industry hasn’t fully recovered from Covid and with the plethora of options available now, i100% rebound seems unlikely. QSRs are having to rebrand and get creative; however, we’re losing the human touch: Customer Service. Economic challenges, turnovers and retention need EXTRA attention if we are to remain strong, sustainable and competitive.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honestly. Integrity. Transparency.
