Her Story

About Audrey

I began my career in the retail industry, but after the birth of my youngest child, I made a significant transition into healthcare. My initial experience was in nuclear medicine, which led to my introduction to the charitable patient assistance program sector. Since then, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the various facets and stakeholders within this field.

For nearly four years in my current role, I have worked closely with healthcare providers and pharmacy partners to resolve escalated issues, identifying whether challenges are systemic or unique to individual organizations. I collaborate extensively with our corporate operations and software development teams to implement effective solutions.

A key aspect of my position involves developing educational tools and resources for providers and pharmacies, empowering them to better understand our programs and facilitating their ability to serve patients effectively. I also deliver targeted education on emerging topics that directly impact the industry.

The most rewarding aspect of my work is knowing that my efforts help numerous patients gain access to essential treatments. Our organization primarily serves underinsured patients diagnosed with life-threatening diseases who often face prohibitively high copays. Many of these individuals abandon prescriptions, use critical funds like rent money to pay for medications, or ration their care because they are unaware that support is available. Providing grants that enable patients to initiate or continue therapy is deeply fulfilling and gives my work a profound sense of purpose.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute all my success to my faith in God. It has guided my choices in life and put the right people around me who support and inspire me to be who I am called to be. Life’s experiences have also taught me to focus on what truly matters, letting go of distractions that don’t foster my growth. I believe passion is essential in everything we do. For me, that passion lies in building a strong, connected community of healthcare providers and pharmacies—serving as their main point of contact to resolve complex patient issues. There’s an unmatched sense of fulfillment when I help resolve an issue, whether systemic or specific to one person. Knowing that my efforts have helped a patient start or continue vital therapy is a reward beyond measure.
