Her Interview
Ten minutes with Audrienne
01What do you attribute your success to?
My husband and my family. My husband has been my backbone from the beginning. We come from Louisiana, where we had to move here after a tragedy, and from that moment on, we just both had each other's back to make sure that we accomplished the goals that we had set up for each other.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always telling me, I'm proud of you, whatever you decide to do in life. And if you're cleaning a toilet, make it the best toilet that's cleaned. I've kept that in my spirit my whole life.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I will first make sure that they make sure that this is what they actually do, because dealing with children is a very delicate thing. If you don't have the heart for it, it may not be for you. If you have the heart, stick into it, even if it is knocks and getting pushed down, stay in it, because you're gonna touch someone's life. It's gonna be that child and their family's life all the time. Even if it's just one person.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Biggest challenges: trying to move up to higher positions like district manager. Companies don't want to move you because you're doing so well at that school and bringing in revenue. Managers get intimidated thinking you'll take their job. Biggest opportunity: With current company that cares about family and moving women up, opportunity to become CEO in the future.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my personal life, it's gonna be my spiritual walk with Christ. Support what God states. In my work life, if it interferes with my home life, I walk away. Because at the end of the day, home is what you're gonna have. My job is to... They come a dime a dozen.
