Ten minutes with Autumn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining a genuine passion for my work and making time for creative projects I enjoy. Graphic design, photo and video editing, and writing have been lifelong interests that help me stay inspired, manage burnout, and keep the joy in what I do beyond deadlines and work demands.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received has been from my current boss, Rais Muhammad, who taught me to stand behind my ideas, value honesty, and understand the legal and technological aspects of content creation. His guidance has expanded my skill set and helped me grow into a stronger creative director.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to believe in yourself, even when imposter syndrome makes you doubt your abilities. Prepare yourself, learn what you need to know, and step into opportunities with confidence. Persistence and self-belief can take you further than you realize.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field is finding fresh, engaging ways to present educational content, especially when covering the same topics repeatedly. It’s about balancing creativity and current trends with meaningful, accurate information that continues to provide real value to the audience.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are persistence, honesty, kindness, and flexibility. I believe in staying committed to my goals, standing behind my creative vision, and approaching others with understanding and respect. These values have helped me grow professionally, build strong relationships, and navigate my career with confidence.
