Autumn Schindler: Speaker: Autumn Schindler , Member Relations Advisor IIAutumn Schindler : And to me, That's what being an influential woman is all about. What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Autumn Schindler : When I think about what it means to be an influential woman, I think about impact. To me, influence is about creating spaces for people to feel seen, heard, valued, and also using your talents to leave the room just a little bit better than you found it. There are so many influential women in my life who have impacted me and probably don't even know it. They made me feel seen, valued, and just lifted me up, and that's the type of influence I want to have on others. I don't care if people remember my name. I just care how I made them feel after we spoke. Now, if I can help someone find their voice, discover a new opportunity, or simply remind them that they matter, then I know I've made a difference. And to me, That's what being an influential woman is all about. What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Autumn Schindler : One piece of advice I would give is to make mistakes. Take that chance and just do it. Don't listen to other people. Listen to your heart.Autumn Schindler : One piece of advice I would give is to just do it. Take that chance, take that opportunity. You can do it. You've got this.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Autumn

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think I attribute my success to caring deeply about using my voice to be able to help others. I want to make sure that other people who maybe have had similar stories would see, or just knowing that there's a voice of authenticity out there. When I'm doing everything I do, I try to be my authentic self. I don't take myself seriously, though I am a little overcritical of myself. But I believe that you don't have to be the loudest person in the room. It's about creating opportunities, building community, and helping others believe that they can do hard things, too.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was simple: be unapologetically yourself. Lead with integrity, stay true to your values, and do your best to move forward with honesty and purpose—even when challenges arise or outside voices create doubt. I’ve learned that authenticity matters, and people connect most with those who lead as their genuine selves.

I also believe one of the strongest things you can do, personally and professionally, is ask for help. None of us succeed alone. Growth happens when we lean into community, stay open to learning, and allow others to support us along the way. You don’t have to have all the answers—you just have to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving forward with integrity.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to first and foremost believe in yourself and your abilities. Take the time to reflect on whether your choices are truly aligned with your own goals and values, rather than being shaped by outside expectations. While guidance from others can be helpful, it is important to trust your own voice and instincts, even when they differ from those around you. In my experience, staying true to your heart and purpose will ultimately keep you on the right path and lead you toward the decisions that are best for your personal and professional growth.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Right now, I see strong opportunities in advancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives, as well as expanding corporate impact programs that create more meaningful and community-centered engagement. At the same time, there are important challenges to address, particularly in the design of corporate social environments, which too often still center around alcohol. This can unintentionally create barriers for individuals who are sober or choose not to drink, limiting full inclusion. I believe this also presents a clear opportunity for organizations to innovate by developing more alcohol-free corporate programming and social experiences that are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, community, self-belief, and using my voice to support and uplift others. I strive to show up as my true self in everything I do, while also fostering meaningful connections and a sense of belonging within the communities I am part of. I strongly believe in the power of self-belief as a foundation for growth and resilience, and I am committed to encouraging others to recognize and trust their own potential. Equally important to me is using my voice and platform to advocate for, support, and uplift those around me whenever possible.
