About Ava
Ava Brannon is a senior at Indiana University pursuing dual majors in neuroscience and informatics. Her academic and professional work centers on the intersection of artificial intelligence with healthcare and medicine, including ongoing research and projects at the American College of Artificial Intelligence and Medicine where she has interned for approximately two and a half years. As a first-generation college student, Brannon has gained valuable experience through multiple undergraduate research programs and internships, including an IU undergraduate research program during her freshman and sophomore years. She previously served as a Resident Assistant for two years on the Women in STEM LLC floor, supporting fellow students and fostering community among women in science fields. Brannon is passionate about advancing AI tools that can transform medical practice and is preparing to present her research at an upcoming conference in Chicago.
