About Ava
I'm a sophomore at Michigan State University, where I major in packaging and minor in entrepreneurship and innovation through Broad. I've been involved in packaging since my freshman year, and at the start of my sophomore year, I was elected to the MSU Packaging Society board. My role is external affairs, which involves working with companies for fundraising and maintaining our website and media presence. My most notable achievement was redesigning our website for Pack Jam, a major convention that rotates between schools with strong packaging programs every six years. This was MSU's year to host, and as the number one packaging school in the country, we really overachieved. I ran decoration operations for the event, including centerpieces, t-shirts, and all the pamphlets that were distributed. The website redesign was a long process and a struggle because I was trying to be an expert in a field I hadn't really engaged in that much, using different skills from coding in high school and being part of STEM clubs since middle school. I'm extremely proud of what I created. Beyond the club, I also tutor physics and recently accepted a position with Fresh Prints, a design and apparel company. I have internships lined up, including one with Pepsi in spring 2027.
