Her Interview

Ten minutes with Avrielle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my passion for what I do, my ability to adapt to change, and my commitment to being a lifelong learner. I believe adaptability is essential for navigating challenges and embracing new opportunities, and recognizing that growth isn't always linear. By staying open to new experiences, continuously learning, and never limiting myself to a single path, I've been able to grow both personally and professionally.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women entering this industry to gain hands-on experience through internships, apply for opportunities with nonprofit organizations, and pursue fellowships whenever possible. These experiences can help build valuable skills, expand your professional network, and provide meaningful insight into the field. Most importantly, take the time to research the industry thoroughly, stay curious, and continuously develop your expertise to position yourself for long-term success.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in my field there are many possibilities for professional growth and networking. While the opportunities are certainly there, they may not always look the way you initially expect, so it's important to remain open-minded and adaptable. At the same time, developing strong operational, management, and applicable hard skills is essential, as these hard skills provide a solid foundation for long-term career success and leadership.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are trust, integrity, transparency, and empathy. Being strategic in my approach allows me to make thoughtful decisions, and I believe that a supportive environment where colleagues and supervisors uplift and encourage one another is essential for individual and collective success.
