Dr. Ayana N. Jones, Psy.D., is a Clinical Child Psychologist with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of forensic, clinical, and community mental health across New York and California. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, integrating evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), crisis intervention, and family systems therapy. Dr. Jones is deeply committed to supporting children, families, and adults, with a focus on neurodivergent individuals, those living with developmental disabilities, and survivors of traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Beyond research, Dr. Jones has contributed to clinical practice through her work with organizations such as Lifespire, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Paradise Valley Hospital, and the San Diego Center for Children, providing psychological assessments, parent management training, and short-term crisis intervention for children and families. She is dedicated to creating affirming spaces where clients can build insight, connection, and empowerment through compassionate, evidence-based care.

In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Jones is actively involved in professional development and advocacy. She holds memberships with the Association for Black Psychologists, the American Psychological Association, Psi Chi International Honor Society, and several local San Diego psychological associations. Committed to mental health equity and community impact, she also volunteers in areas such as child welfare, racial justice, education, and veteran support.
