Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ayelet
01What do you attribute your success to?
A lot of my success I attribute to my family. My parents never pushed me into anything. I want to succeed and do my own thing. I wanted to work with people and help others. My parents have always supported me and encouraged me to do what I think is morally right and whatever makes me feel like I'm fully fulfilling my purpose and that is why I have been able to achieve so much thus far.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't hesitate to ask questions. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, especially in the beginning. It's your first leadership role and it's a way to learn how to build relationships with people.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't try to follow a very strict path. Be flexible with what you want to do and explore opportunities because you never know what might come up. Especially if you want to go into HR, it's people skills. Keep working on your people skills if you want to see yourself succeed in any profession.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is the growing role of women in leadership and human resources. HR professionals have a unique opportunity to shape inclusive, supportive, and equitable workplaces while helping employees grow and succeed.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Empathy is a core value. I want to do something that is for a better cause, not just for me or for money or personal gain. I want to do it for others so we can all systematically improve.
