About Azita
Azita Rahim, J.D., is a Senior Attorney at JKZ LLP specializing in trust and estate litigation, probate disputes, legacy protection, and complex litigation matters. She describes her work as protecting legacies and helping ensure that the wishes of clients and their families are honored according to governing trust and estate documents. Her practice includes matters involving trusts, estates, inheritance disputes, fiduciary issues, and the protection of vulnerable or elderly clients from undue influence. Rahim has worked in the legal profession since 2005 and brings a distinctive perspective shaped by her early career as a paralegal before becoming an attorney.
Rahim earned an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate from California State University, East Bay and later earned her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University, School of Law, where she attended law school part-time while working full-time. Her professional development reflects a commitment to building practical legal experience alongside formal education. Before joining JKZ LLP, she spent nearly nine years working as a paralegal at Arnold & Porter and Venable before transitioning into attorney roles. She also earned first place in a mock trial competition in 2018, demonstrating her advocacy and litigation abilities.
Beyond her legal practice, Rahim places significant emphasis on mentorship, professional development, and supporting the next generation of legal professionals. She is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and has participated in bar-association programs and networking events designed to connect attorneys and law students. At JKZ LLP, she contributes to an Associate Development Program centered on mentorship, clarity, trust, and professional growth. Her own experience progressing from paralegal to attorney informs her leadership philosophy: she believes in explaining the purpose behind assignments, investing in others' development, and creating teams where people feel supported, valued, and connected to the larger mission.
