About Bailey
Bailey Marlow is a Construction Executive with 18 years of experience in the construction industry, currently serving as Vice President of Construction Technology and Innovation at Denton Floyd Real Estate Group in Greenwood, Indiana. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University, where she was also involved in student organizations including the AGC Cabinet and the ASC Competition team. Her career path began with hands-on training alongside a general contractor during college, and she credits growing up immersed in the industry—along with her father's influence—as a foundational part of her professional journey.
Throughout her career, Marlow has built a reputation for strengthening communication between executives, project teams, and trade partners, while introducing tools and procedures that make projects more efficient and easier to track. At Denton Floyd, she leads company-wide digital transformation efforts, integrating platforms like Procore and OpenSpace alongside automation and emerging AI-driven tools to support forecasting, reporting, and executive decision-making. Her prior roles, including Director of Project Integration at T&H Investment Properties and Senior Project Manager at TWG, gave her broad exposure to preconstruction, field operations, and vertically integrated project delivery, helping her align builders, designers, and developers around shared goals.
Marlow's leadership philosophy centers on mentorship, hands-on learning, and understanding a situation fully before drawing conclusions—a lesson she attributes to mentor Chad Garrett. She is especially attentive to the challenges of guiding a multi-generational workforce through technology adoption and organizational change. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was selected to be featured in Influential Women for 2026, representing Carmel, Indiana. Looking ahead, Marlow encourages young professionals entering construction to remain open-minded, gain real hands-on experience, and understand the full project lifecycle before pursuing more senior roles.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Bailey
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to growing up around the construction industry and being shaped by my father's influence in the field. My hands-on experience, the mentors who trusted me with early opportunities, and a willingness to learn by doing—often through trial by fire—have shaped who I am professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've received is to seek to understand. That principle, which I learned from Chad Garrett, reminds me to fully understand a situation or the history behind it before jumping to conclusions, since I don't always know everything that led up to a given moment.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I'd encourage young professionals coming into construction to stay open-minded and receptive to guidance rather than assuming they're entitled to a certain title right away. Put your head down, get your hands dirty, dive into the details, and take the time to understand the full cycle of what you're building before positioning yourself for a higher role.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I navigate is managing change and technology adoption across a multi-generational workforce. Getting everyone on board with new tools and processes—especially in a hands-on environment with a lot of tenured team members—takes patience, clear communication, and building teams that complement each other's strengths and weaknesses.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Communication, teamwork, efficiency, and continuous learning are the values that guide me most, both professionally and personally. I also place a high priority on family balance, which is part of why I'm so focused on improving processes and documentation—it gives teams more time for life outside of work.
