Ten minutes with Bailey
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received from my mentor is head down, do the hard work, don't get caught up in the politics of everything, and your outcome and your output will speak for itself. Really just investing in the hard work that you put in, and knowing that it eventually will pay out.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to speak up. IT is a male dominated field, but you have to take that lens off of maybe being the only female in a room or meeting. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and speak on your opinions. Prove yourself by performance. Be confident in it.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The biggest thing for me is just communication and hard work. In our world, things are always evolving, always changing. Being fluid, understanding the problems, and communicating risks. It transfers over into my personal life with coaching volleyball and just relationships in general.
