What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to intentional choices, continuous learning, and a commitment to impact. After a forty-year career in insurance that gave me discipline and strategic insight, I transitioned to media to amplify stories and create visibility for women whose voices deserve to be heard.
That journey took ten years of reinvention, active learning, and listening. Today, I focus on coaching and brand visibility strategy—helping individuals and organizations show up with clarity and confidence. Recognition, like Business of the Year and Woman of Empowerment, is rewarding, but the real measure of success is impact.
Service and community remain central to my work. From Toastmasters to organizations like Health Heal Humanity and Embracing Disability, I believe leadership without service is just noise. I stay curious, teachable, and committed to learning—whether mentoring, building strategy, or simply enjoying life along the way.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: listen—truly listen. Active listening means understanding your clients’ pain points and figuring out how to serve them effectively, without letting your own agenda get in the way. Observe and learn from others who have already found success—not to copy them, but to adapt their strategies in ways that work for you.
Continuous learning is essential. Growth comes from staying curious, evolving with the industry, and never assuming you’ve “arrived.” Stay humble, stay teachable, and let your work speak for itself.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
As my media network has grown, so have the challenges. Scaling requires building a stronger team, defining sharper differentiation, and having the courage to stand out in an increasingly crowded space. Yet growth also brings opportunity—it sharpens your vision, reminds you why you started, and keeps you focused on who you’re doing it for.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are integrity, trust, and kindness. I am driven by a desire to help others—particularly women—by giving them a voice, increasing visibility, and creating platforms where their stories and leadership can be amplified.
