Beatriz Alarcon
Beatriz Alarcon is a seasoned business development and marketing professional with more than two decades of experience in the corporate aviation industry. She began her career in 2002 as a Customer Service Representative at an FBO in Miami, where she developed a strong foundation in client service and operations. Over the years, she has become known for her expertise in fixed-base operations (FBO), customer relations, and strategic growth, consistently delivering exceptional service while building lasting partnerships across the private aviation sector.
Beatriz spent nearly 20 years with Jetscape Services, where she progressed through a series of leadership roles including customer service manager, marketing manager, finance manager, and ultimately business development manager. In these roles, she led strategic sales and marketing initiatives, secured key domestic and international partnerships, and contributed to significant revenue growth and brand visibility. Following the company’s sale and the elimination of her position, Beatriz transitioned into consulting, supporting an aviation entertainment company before launching her own consulting business. Today, she provides strategic marketing, sales planning, and business development services to small corporate aviation companies, leveraging her deep industry knowledge to help clients grow and compete effectively.
Beyond her professional work, Beatriz is deeply committed to education, mentorship, and industry advocacy. She has partnered with a former colleague to deliver training on Canva and AI tools tailored for aviation professionals and is currently developing an academy designed to broaden understanding of the corporate aviation industry beyond traditional roles. As Chair of Girls in Aviation Day for the soFLY Southern Tropics Chapter of Women in Aviation International, she has led the organization of large-scale annual events for the past four years, introducing approximately 1,000 young girls each year to career opportunities in aviation. Passionate about mentoring, Beatriz is dedicated to sharing her knowledge, empowering the next generation, and fostering growth within the industry she has proudly served for over 20 years.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to having a leader who didn't micromanage and gave me the freedom to express myself and achieve projects on my own time. My previous boss trusted me and let me run things my way, which really helped me grow. He would challenge me and push me, and I think not being afraid of a challenge is what helped me accomplish things. I'm also a big talker and I love to network and talk to people. I think it's about not being afraid, taking on the job at hand, constantly networking, being challenged, and promoting myself and believing in myself. I'm very resourceful, and I think my personality and ability to connect people in my network has been key. It's not about a title or position, it's about how I can make people feel and how I can help them grow and evolve with no judgment.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Professionally, the best advice I've ever received is to never take things personally. On the personal side, I was told to always be thankful no matter what situation you go through. If it's good, great, and if it was a bad experience, just be thankful because it's an opportunity for growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell them not to be afraid. Go for it, try it, and if you don't like it, then you'll find something else, but never, never give up. Just show up.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my industry is that it's a male-dominated industry. You come across men who want you to grow and evolve, but you also come across other men who just want to put you down because you're a woman and they think you don't know anything. It can be a very intimidating industry. When I attend aviation events and hear women speaking, the biggest challenge for them is being in a male-dominated industry and being intimidated by men. In terms of opportunities, I think having a mentor in your life is super important, no matter how old you are, because we need guidance in any aspect we want to accomplish in our life, whether professional, personal, in your marriage, with your kids, whatever. Having someone you can learn from their experience is very important.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me are being respectful. Ethics is very important to me. I don't like talking bad about people or companies or anything like that, because in a way it shows kind of like your weakness. Sometimes when you criticize something, it's because of something that you lack. I've always been trying to be respectful, non-judgmental, and I think those are the good ones.
