Her Story
About Becca
Becca Pike is a seasoned banking professional with 18 years of experience, currently serving as Director of Member Services at UFCU in Austin, Texas. Her career has spanned both sides of the customer service spectrum, beginning with 12 years in branch banking, where she progressed from bank teller to branch manager, before making the shift into call center leadership in June 2020. Throughout her tenure, she has built a reputation for guiding teams through operational change while keeping the member experience at the center of every decision, and her expertise now centers on call center operations and customer experience leadership.
A recognized voice in her field, Pike has shared her insights as a speaker and panelist at industry gatherings such as Customer Contact Week and Future Branches, where she discusses how technology, process, and people must evolve together for meaningful progress. She holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Kansas, an unconventional academic background for a banking career, along with a minor in oboe. Her professional community involvement includes active membership in the Austin Young Chamber and the Austin chapter of credit unions, and she has been selected as one of the Influential Women representing Austin, Texas for 2026.
Pike credits much of her professional growth to self-reflection and the strength of the relationships she has cultivated over the years, along with a willingness to advocate both for herself and for others. She approaches high-pressure moments with a belief in the value of pausing before reacting, and she draws a clear line between feedback that requires immediate action and broader development advice that can be weighed selectively. Guided by values of honesty, humility, vulnerability, laughter, and hard work, she often encourages young women entering the industry to resist comparing their paths to others, to embrace non-linear career moves, and to stay passionate about their goals while remaining adaptable in how they pursue them.

Ten minutes with Becca
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to giving myself the space to learn who I truly am, as well as the relationships I've built along the way. I also make it a point to advocate for myself and to ensure I have people in my corner who can advocate for me in rooms I'm not in.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've received is the power of pausing before making decisions, especially under pressure, to allow room for clearer thinking. I've also learned to distinguish between performance feedback from my supervisors, which I act on directly, and development advice from others, which I can gather from multiple sources and apply selectively.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women not to compare themselves to others and instead focus on their own personal growth. Careers are rarely linear, so it's important to be open to lateral moves when they make sense. I'd also encourage them to fall in love with their goals while staying flexible about how they achieve them.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Our field faces significant regulatory requirements alongside the challenges and opportunities that come with evolving technology. I see technology as an opportunity, but only when it's integrated thoughtfully with updated processes and people strategies. We need to modernize while navigating regulatory constraints, creating safe spaces to experiment and learn without harming our brand or our customers.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, humility, vulnerability, laughter, and hard work are the values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life.
