Becky Dupre
Marketing found Becky Dupré early in her career. After earning her degree in Fashion Merchandising from McNeese State University, she began working for a fine jewelry company, where the owner asked her to assist with newspaper ads and marketing. That opportunity sparked a lifelong passion, leading her from fashion merchandising to a diverse career in marketing across retail, newspaper, cable, radio, and digital advertising.
Becky’s career has been guided by the power of networking. Through her involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, she connected with a professional at a cable company, opening doors to new opportunities and solidifying her reputation as a results-driven marketing professional. She has built expertise in brand marketing, lead generation, marketing strategy, and marketing automation, helping businesses grow and maximize ROI.
Currently, Becky serves as Senior Account Executive at KVHP Fox 29, specializing in streaming and connected TV advertising. She has led high-impact campaigns, including a successful political campaign where her use of social media and connected TV helped a mayor win re-election against a two-term incumbent—a strategy so effective that the opposition formally challenged the digital campaign. She also delivers educational sessions, such as her upcoming presentation, “The Art of Networking,” through her affiliation with BNI.
Beyond her professional achievements, Becky actively contributes to her community as Past President of the Lake Charles American Advertising Federation and a Sustainer with the Junior League of Lake Charles. She continues to revolutionize programmatic and television advertising, helping businesses implement efficient, data-driven campaigns that reach the right audience at the right time—maximizing impact and profitability with precision and purpose.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my journey from fashion merchandising to various marketing roles across industries, including retail, newspaper, cable, radio, and finally digital marketing. Each step along the way helped me build the skills and perspective that shape my work today.
I currently hold a senior account executive role with a focus on streaming and connected TV. One of my proudest achievements was working on a successful political campaign, where I used social media and connected TV to help a mayor win re-election against a two-term incumbent. The strategy was so effective that the opponent’s party lodged complaints about the digital campaign’s presence. I am also scheduled to deliver a 45-minute educational session on “The Art of Networking” at the Women’s Commission in Lake Charles, through my affiliation with BNI.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
As a marketing and media specialist, I’ve learned that the best thing you can do is keep learning and adapting—especially with how fast things like AI are changing our field. I’ve also realized how valuable it is to build a strong portfolio that actually shows what you can do, not just what you know. Communication and storytelling are huge too. And honestly, connecting with other creative people and setting clear goals for myself has made all the difference in staying inspired and growing in my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to be open to reinvention. My shift from fashion merchandising to digital marketing demonstrates that career paths aren’t always linear—and that adaptability can unlock new opportunities. I also believe every role teaches something valuable; my varied experiences in retail, media, and cable built a diverse skill set that prepared me for complex digital strategy work today.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I stay ahead of industry trends by specializing in streaming and connected television, positioning myself at the cutting edge of marketing where consumer behavior is rapidly evolving. In a landscape shaped by AI and new technology, continual learning is key to better serving clients.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My personal and professional values—confidence to take on new challenges, courage to transition industries and lead bold campaigns, and strong communication skills—have been central to my success in social media, leadership roles, and networking.
