Begum Aydogan Mathyk

She is a distinguished Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) specialist and physician leader with a strong commitment to advancing women's health, reproductive medicine, and aerospace medicine. Currently serving as an REI Fellow at Shady Grove Fertility, she is completing advanced training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She also serves as Associate Partner at SpaceMed, where she contributes to aerospace medicine and women's health initiatives, and as Women's Health Team Co-Lead for the Aerospace Medicine Commercial Spaceflight Committee. She is a member of the Space Surgery Association and serves as SREI Associate Member Chair for the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Istanbul University, which holds European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology accreditation, and was appointed Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2021. She also completed clinical research training at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is recognized as a visionary, compassionate, and academically rigorous physician and leader who is deeply committed to reproductive health, women's health equity, and the intersection of medicine and space exploration.
