Belinda Lindeburgh
Belinda Lindeburgh (she/her) is an accomplished English Content Specialist at Stride, Inc., based in Wallingford, Connecticut, with more than 30 years of experience in education spanning both traditional classroom and virtual learning environments. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Commonwealth University–Bloomsburg and a Master’s degree in American/United States Studies from Penn State University. Belinda is certified in AP Literature and AP Language and holds both Pennsylvania and California secondary English teaching credentials, including specialized preparation for working with English language learners.
Since becoming a content specialist in 2019, Belinda has played a key role in shaping English curriculum for a nationwide virtual school, with a strong focus on AP course development, curriculum design, and standards alignment for state-specific programs, including Florida, Texas, and Louisiana. She is also currently serving as the acting social studies content specialist, demonstrating her adaptability and breadth of expertise. Her work includes teacher training, rubric and essay calibration, and navigating evolving instructional technologies—skills that are essential in today’s rapidly changing virtual education landscape.
Belinda began her career in brick-and-mortar schools in 1995, teaching high school juniors and seniors while also mentoring student organizations and contributing to AP curriculum writing. She transitioned to online education in 2010 and steadily advanced into leadership roles. Among her notable accomplishments is the successful creation of two AP English courses—Literature and Language—developed on short notice and approved on the first syllabus submission under new AP standards. Known for her commitment to lifelong learning and effective change management, Belinda continues to make a lasting impact on students, educators, and curriculum nationwide.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to adaptability, lifelong learning, and a strong work ethic, along with a willingness to embrace change, stay curious, and pivot when new opportunities arise. Persistence and continuously improving my instructional skills—especially as education technology evolves—have been key to my growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay flexible, embrace lifelong learning, and confidently take opportunities as they arise. Be ready to pivot quickly, adapt to new technologies and teaching methods, and trust that experience will build your skills and confidence over time.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field are keeping pace with rapidly evolving education technology, teaching ethical AI use, maintaining student engagement in virtual classrooms, and gaining recognition for behind-the-scenes curriculum work. At the same time, there are exciting opportunities to expand virtual learning, integrate AI tools to enhance instruction, increase access to quality education, and make a national impact through curriculum development.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in work and life are integrity, continuous growth, adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and ensuring a balance between career and personal fulfillment. In my personal life, I am passionate about reading, mountain biking, camping, gardening, visiting the beach, and spending time outdoors.
