Bella Elaine Brown is a culinary professional serving as a Sous Chef at Del Frisco’s Grille. With a strong foundation in culinary arts and hospitality, she has developed her expertise through hands-on experience in demanding restaurant environments. Her career reflects a passion for cooking, leadership, and delivering high-quality dining experiences.
Before becoming a Sous Chef, Bella worked as a Culinary Manager at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, where she gained valuable experience in restaurant operations, team leadership, and culinary management. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of North Texas in 2025, complementing her practical experience with formal education in the hospitality field.
Bella specializes in fine dining, American upscale cuisine, Italian cuisine, and Hispanic/Latin cuisine, with particular strength in leading culinary teams and maintaining high standards in the kitchen. Her passion for leadership began during her years in high school drumline and has continued throughout her culinary career. She brings a combination of culinary knowledge, leadership ability, and dedication to every role she takes on.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance. I’ve consistently pushed myself beyond my comfort zone, pursued what I truly want, and remained committed to growing and advancing in my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to be patient, stay observant, and always be willing to learn. I believe every person and experience can teach me something valuable.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to persevere, stay true to your values, and don’t change who you are simply to please others. At the same time, remain open to feedback, self-reflection, and personal growth as you develop in your career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is working in a male-dominated industry where young women can be underestimated or overlooked. However, it also presents valuable opportunities to build confidence, prove my capabilities, expand my network, and grow professionally.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity and respect. I believe in maintaining high standards, never compromising the guest experience, and showing respect for guests, colleagues, the environment, and the owners of the establishment.
