About Belle
Belle Mitchum serves as Marketing and Design Specialist at Amarisk, a managing general agent specializing in catastrophe insurance, based in Houston but working remotely. She has held this role for nearly two years and brings broader marketing experience since 2020, including time as an account manager at ADV Marketing where she managed client portfolios in oil and gas and nonprofits. Belle earned her undergraduate degree in management with an HR concentration and a psychology minor from Texas State University, followed by a master's in marketing from Clemson University. She also obtained certifications as a virtual business professional and in programmatic essentials. Her professional involvement includes serving as co-president of Beta Gamma Sigma, co-chair of the marketing board for the Women's Energy Network of Houston where she received the Rising Star Award and helped earn Committee of the Year, and participation in the Corporate Citizenship Council. She has been recognized as an AMA award finalist and remains committed to volunteering through initiatives like Key Club, National Honor Society, and company-wide events including a pickleball tournament for charity. Belle attributes her success to being adaptable with a mindset of continuous growth and learning, staying curious, and anticipating client needs.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being adaptable and having a mindset of continuous growth and learning. Staying curious, listening to needs, and anticipating them before they are asked has been critical, especially in an evolving field like marketing with AI. This approach helped me in my first role and continues to drive my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to be adaptable with a mindset where continuous growth and learning is at the forefront. Being open to change and learning new skills, especially with AI in marketing, has been the best thing that's helped me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women to always be willing to learn and embrace new challenges while being open to different perspectives. Growth comes from every experience, success, and setback, and there's still so much to learn even after a few years in the workforce.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my personal life, loyalty is very important as I've always been a loyal person in friendships and with colleagues. Professionally, integrity and relationships are core values that drove me to my current company, along with a culture of giving back through the corporate citizenship program.
