Her Story
About Benita
Benita Jolly serves as a customer service representative in the aluminum business, a role she has held for nearly 10 years after starting in an administrative position supporting executive admins and a service center manager. Her daily responsibilities include placing and entering orders, building doors virtually through computer programs, managing customer complaints, and reconciling invoices, all while navigating a field often viewed as a man's domain. She aspires to transition into human resources within her company, leveraging her operational background for greater relatability in addressing employee concerns. Benita earned her high school diploma with honors from D.M. Farrell High School in 2007 and returned to Fort Valley State University in 2024 after a hiatus, where she is now a junior majoring in Organizational Leadership with a minor in psychology and concentration in business administration, projected to graduate next summer. She also holds CPR and Women's League certifications and serves on the literacy board at her daughter's high school.
