Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a disciplined approach to change, both personally and professionally, and to giving myself the time to grow into each new opportunity. Growing up in a military family instilled adaptability and resilience, and when paired with continuous learning and persistence, that foundation has shaped how I help organizations and leaders navigate complex transitions with clarity and purpose.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The most useful career advice I’ve received is to understand the systems and context you are operating within before attempting to change them. That perspective has consistently guided my work in leadership and complex change initiatives.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

In consulting, it’s easy to adopt the mindset of a fixer and to start viewing everything, at work and in life, as something that needs to be optimized or improved. Over time, that perspective can flatten your world. Not everything is broken, not everything needs intervention, and not every situation requires your expertise. Part of professional maturity is knowing when to act and when to leave well enough alone, especially when fixing something is not actually your role or responsibility.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the ongoing challenges in this work is maintaining balance when responsibility expands quickly and roles evolve faster than expected. I have learned that sustaining effectiveness requires a life and sense of identity that extends beyond work, including clear boundaries, meaningful interests, and perspective. That grounding ultimately makes me a steadier collaborator and a more reliable leader during periods of change.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me most are pragmatism and efficiency in my work, paired with creativity and community engagement in my personal life. Music and film provide balance and perspective, keeping me connected to curiosity, emotion, and a broader sense of meaning beyond professional outcomes.
