About Bernadette
Bernadette is a real estate broker who has worked in the field since 2000. She maintains dual careers in real estate and insurance, holding both licenses which she renews through continuing education and Illinois state testing every two years. Prior to obtaining her licenses, she worked as an assistant to a realtor and in an insurance office. Bernadette has some college education but no degree. She is a member of Main Street In Illinois. Her typical day involves marketing, social media, showings, listing appointments, and client calls. She takes pride in assisting first-time homebuyers by educating them and coordinating with a team of loan officers, inspectors, attorneys, and other professionals. Bernadette values helping families secure a nice home and manage finances, keeping clients grounded throughout the process. She advises aspiring professionals to follow their dreams and persist, noting that there is plenty of business for everyone.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow your dreams. I stuck with it. I wanted to do nothing else. And it's made me successful... if you put your mind to it, you can do anything. There's plenty of business out there for everyone.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Time management could be better. I got my hands in all different things going on, but I like to stay busy.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
They kind of go hand in hand. What's important to me about my family is what I like to help people do. You know, have a nice home, take care of the new home, help you get there, financially being okay. It... money, you know, is not... the most important thing in the world, but it does help in the stress level of things, so I like to keep people grounded and help them get to where they want to be.
