Bernice Bethke is the Founder and Digital Strategist at Threadlined Presence, a digital strategy studio that helps small and service-based businesses strengthen their online presence through website development, digital strategy, social media, and thoughtful marketing support. She founded the company in July 2025 after spending more than eight years in a boutique law firm, where she advanced through administrative roles and ultimately oversaw office operations while also managing the firm’s website and social media. Drawing on this diverse experience, Bernice has built Threadlined Presence around making digital marketing approachable, strategic, and practical for clients who want meaningful results without the overhead of a traditional agency.
Bernice takes a hands-on, highly adaptable approach to her work, combining creativity with technical problem-solving and a strong commitment to continuous learning. Her work includes website development and refreshes, brand presence, social media strategy, content creation, SEO, analytics, and customized digital guidance. She particularly enjoys solving the behind-the-scenes challenges that make websites more effective, including search visibility, structure, usability, accessibility, performance, and the integration of existing systems. Although she completed most of an associate degree before family circumstances interrupted her studies, Bethke has continued developing her expertise through hands-on experience, webinars, books, articles, research, and ongoing exploration of emerging digital tools and trends. A significant professional milestone was securing her largest solo project to date through ChatGPT, reinforcing her expertise in SEO and AI optimization.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and the determination to keep moving forward, even when challenges arise. Some days are more difficult than others, but I have learned to maintain balance, stay focused on my goals, and approach each obstacle with resilience and drive. This mindset has enabled me to overcome challenges, continue growing, and remain committed to achieving meaningful results.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to keep moving forward, even when there are significant hurdles. I believe in being authentic, taking accountability, learning from my past experiences, and making the necessary corrections without allowing setbacks to define my progress. As a business owner, I have learned that success does not require perfection; it requires resilience, honesty, adaptability, and the dive to keep moving forward.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is to identify what you are passionate about, pursue what sparks your curiosity, and have the confidence to run with it. Do not be afraid to take risks, ask questions, or step outside your comfort zone. A willingness to learn, combined with determination and drive, can open doors and create opportunities for growth. Most importantly, let your passion fuel you, because genuine enthusiasm and commitment can carry you through challenges and help you build a rewarding and successful career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the rapid pace of change, particularly with algorithm updates across social media platforms and Google, which can be difficult to predict and require constant adaptability. At the same time, these changes create significant opportunities to stay current, think creatively, and continuously evolve strategies. I view this constant evolution as an opportunity to drive business growth while also encouraging professional and personal development.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity and curiosity are the values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life. I believe in being true to myself, embracing individuality, and approaching every opportunity with genuine curiosity. I strive to look beyond the surface, ask thoughtful questions, understand the details, and continually learn and grow. These values keep me grounded, open-minded, and committed to bringing an authentic and thoughtful perspective to everything I do.
