Her Interview
Ten minutes with Beth
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to experience, which I believe is the best teacher. Over time, I’ve learned that each challenge, opportunity, and responsibility has contributed to my growth in meaningful ways. Experience has helped me develop stronger judgment, adaptability, and confidence in my decisions, while also reinforcing the importance of continuous learning and improvement.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to follow my heart. I’ve learned that when I align my work with my values, interests, and passions, I am more motivated, fulfilled, and resilient in the face of challenges. While practical considerations are important, trusting my instincts and pursuing what genuinely inspires me has consistently led to the most meaningful growth and opportunities in my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is that if you ever look in the mirror and don’t recognize yourself anymore, don’t doubt yourself—pause, reassess, and feel empowered to pivot and make adjustments. Growth often involves change, and it’s important to stay true to who you are as you evolve professionally. Trust your instincts, set boundaries that protect your well-being, and don’t be afraid to redirect your path when something no longer aligns with your values or sense of self.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is helping people understand the value of investing in functional lab testing and being willing to spend the money to gain deeper insight into their health. While the information from these labs can be transformative, cost can often be a barrier to entry. At the same time, a major opportunity lies in the growing collaboration and support from professionals within the medical community who recognize the value of this approach and are helping to amplify my work and expand awareness of my services.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my professional and personal life are respect, integrity, and compassion. These principles guide my decision-making, shape how I interact with others, and serve as the foundation for the relationships I build. I am committed to treating others with respect, acting with integrity in all circumstances, and approaching every situation with empathy and compassion.
