Beth Caldwell is a seasoned leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for women’s professional growth, with over 20 years dedicated to building, leading, and growing women-centered organizations. She is the founder of Pittsburgh Professional Women (PPW), which she led for two decades, transforming informal lunches and small gatherings into large workshops, educational programs, and virtual events that empower women across Western Pennsylvania. Three years ago, Beth launched Circle for Women, a global community that extends her impact internationally, hosting in-person events in cities like Anaheim and London, alongside virtual workshops and online programs. Recognized as an Influential Woman of 2026 representing Pittsburgh, she has become a trusted voice for women navigating leadership, entrepreneurship, and career transitions.

Beth’s professional journey is rooted in social work and shaped by personal resilience. Following a divorce, she balanced part-time social work, a side business, parenting, and personal healing, all while seeking opportunities for growth. A disappointing professional conference inspired her to create a women’s community that addressed visibility, confidence, and professional development gaps she had personally experienced. Over the years, Beth has guided women through visibility blocks, imposter syndrome, prosperity challenges, and leadership development, integrating life and business lessons into actionable strategies. Her early career challenges—including leaving a previous role abruptly after a negative performance review—taught her the value of clarity, support, and sustainable growth, principles she now imparts to the women she mentors.

Beyond her organizational leadership, Beth is deeply committed to mentorship, lifelong learning, and community impact. She actively supports initiatives like the Alzheimer’s Association, International Women’s Day, and Kiva, using her visibility to drive meaningful change. A lifelong learner, she has completed multiple certifications, trainings, and workshops in leadership and development, complementing her practical experience. Beth’s personal values—community, empathy, and self-care—inform both her leadership style and her approach to empowerment. She believes women thrive when they build community, confront internal barriers, and give themselves permission to be visible, successful, and supported. Through her work, Beth continues to inspire women to step fully into their power, personally and professionally.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Beth advises women to make career and life decisions based on what is best for themselves and their families rather than out of concern for others' opinions. She encourages becoming your own advocate, addressing imposter syndrome, and prioritizing personal wellbeing as the foundation for professional success.
