About Beth
Beth Hatch is an accomplished library executive and organizational leader with over two decades of experience in public library administration, strategic planning, and community-centered service. Currently serving as Director of the Upper Arlington Public Library in Ohio since 2019, she acts as chief operating officer, reporting to the Board of Trustees and overseeing the implementation of board policy, educational and cultural programming, information services, and community engagement. She previously served as Director of the Perry Public Library and as Special Projects Manager at the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library, where she researched emerging trends, managed grants, and led projects to improve service quality. Her earlier career includes serving as IT Virtual Services Manager at the Cleveland Public Library and Virtual Service Manager at the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library, where she oversaw the design, development, and maintenance of digital systems and services. She holds an English degree from Kent State University at the Ashtabula campus, a master's in library science from Kent State, and a second master's in communication, professional studies and communication from Lake Erie College. Her career reflects a deep commitment to public service, innovation, and ensuring libraries remain vital, responsive resources for their communities.
