Her Story
About Bethany
I've been in home health and hospice for over 7 years now. I started on the clinical side for 10 years as an EMT paramedic and then in cardiology as first assist for surgery before moving into sales. I bring that patient care knowledge into my sales role at Dependable Home Health. I also teach cosmetic lasers and sales and marketing courses, which I've done for 13 years as a passion.

Ten minutes with Bethany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think it's just I've always had that mindset that comes from my family back home. I've really had that mindset that this is you've got one life and you've got to make a mark on this world, so that's what I try to do every day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
More so for sales, don't take everything personal. No, it's not about you. It's about what they're needing, and show them what they need. I got that from my dad who owns a chain called Firehouse Subs. He's my biggest person to follow in business.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Hit the ground running. Don't wait for anyone else to tell you how it needs to be. Really involve as much of your background as you can. The biggest thing is you always want to build the relationships with your connections before you actually need them.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges are different companies competing with us. There's about 42 here in Tucson. Showing people we can be different, that each company has something that they represent a little bit more or they can say we stand by this, this is what makes us different.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I think being honest, showing up, I think that's a big thing, just being someone people can count on. That's always been mine. It's amazing when it can do that these days when no one can count on anybody.
