01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received is to remain your authentic self and bring your personal leadership style into the role. This has enabled me to put people over policy and has led to a successful career where I have been a mentor to multiple people and championed their unique abilities.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young professionals to adopt AI as much as possible, embrace changes within the payroll space, self-teach reconciliation methods available online, and not wait for somebody to show you how to do something. Teach yourself through trial and error because that is where you bring the most value to future employers.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the ever-changing and growing compliance requirements both federal, state, local, and globally that are changing so frequently. Staying up to date with the current requirements annually is our biggest challenge.
