Cunningham's diverse professional background combines business, law, and agriculture, providing her with a unique perspective on organizational leadership. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Business from Cornell University, including international study at Harper Adams University in England, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law. Her career has included leadership in human resources for a large dairy operation, where she developed onboarding and retention strategies that reduced turnover and workers' compensation claims, as well as legal experience in land use, employment law, civil litigation, CEQA, and trust and estate matters. She is also a SHRM Certified Professional and remains actively engaged in the agricultural and business communities through organizations including the Sonoma County Farm Bureau.
