Bettina Kwarteng Esq.
Bettina Kwarteng Esq. is a cybersecurity and data privacy professional who combines legal expertise with advanced technical knowledge to protect individuals and organizations in the digital space. She currently serves as Cybersecurity Manager at Munich Airport NJ LLC, where she leads cybersecurity awareness training, manages incident response, oversees third-party risk and vendor data protection, and coordinates cross-functional governance initiatives. Her work emphasizes disciplined, ethical practices and creating tangible positive impact in the lives of those she serves.
Originally from Ghana, Bettina earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Law and was called to the bar in Ghana. She later relocated to the United States on a full scholarship to pursue graduate studies, earning a Master’s in Data Privacy & Protection and Cybersecurity Law from American University. Bettina has also obtained certifications as a Certified Automation Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Implementation Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and holds the SEC+ and QSL credentials, underscoring her commitment to both legal and technical excellence in cybersecurity.
Beyond her professional work, Bettina is an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), and the Ghana Bar Association. She is recognized for her dedication to social impact, including pro bono legal work on behalf of long-term prisoners in Ghana. Bettina’s career reflects a passion for bridging the worlds of law and technology, defending people from emerging digital harms, and fostering communities where privacy and security are prioritized.

I attribute my success to discipline and determination. By staying focused, setting clear goals, and consistently applying myself, I have been able to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful results.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to pursue work that truly excites you—something that makes you eager to wake up each day and allows you to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to truly know themselves and understand their capabilities. Set goals that are realistic and achievable, chart a clear path, and maintain the discipline and focus needed to accomplish them.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the constant chance to learn and grow. Staying curious and embracing new knowledge allows me to adapt, innovate, and continuously improve in an ever-evolving industry.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The value that is most important to me in both my work and personal life is honesty. I strive to be transparent, trustworthy, and sincere in all my interactions, as integrity forms the foundation for meaningful relationships and lasting success.
