Bhargavi Sundar

Bhargavi Sundar began her career with a bachelor's in computer science in India, driven by family expectations for a practical path despite her creative interests in art and design. After working as a developer, she transitioned to UX design to focus on building products rather than just coding them, leading her to pursue a master's in human-centered computing at the University of Maryland. She has interned at Accenture in India and a healthcare data startup in San Francisco, completed UX courses from IBM and CalArts, and gained experience at a startup followed by a larger company. Sundar takes pride in her volunteer design work for a mental health NGO in India during COVID, creating social media content to connect people with therapy services, and she continues to experiment with personal projects like a gamified Pomodoro timer app. She values curiosity, grit, and determination, especially as an immigrant navigating challenges, and aspires to start her own design agency while mentoring junior designers through communities like ADP List.
