Her Story
About Bhavya
I have always wanted to do something of my own, and as a creative person, I knew it was time to take that leap. After spending over 10 years working in creative strategist roles for various companies, I founded Bae Crafts Studio in September 2024. I started it as something to manage my free time and express my creativity. At Bae Crafts Studio, I create personalized products and paper crafts that bring joy to people's lives. My day starts with conceptualizing products and thinking about what personalized items I can offer my clients. I design and create each piece, then promote them on platforms like Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, and Instagram. When clients reach out with queries or want tweaks to their orders, I work closely with them to deliver exactly what they envision. Bae Crafts Studio also offers party decor solutions and ideas for special occasions like baby showers and weddings. Being part of my clients' special moments is incredibly meaningful to me. I believe in building trust with my clients and maintaining strong relationships, even if it means going into financial losses to make them happy. The biggest challenge I face is staying innovative in a competitive market full of talented creative people, especially with the fast pace of social media and influencer culture. But I'm really proud of where I've reached and the positive responses I've received from my local communities, who are always encouraging.

Ten minutes with Bhavya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my husband. He has always been encouraging and supportive in ways that go beyond what many traditional husbands would do. He tells me to be happy and do whatever I like, whether that's being a homemaker or working on my business. He's been incredibly supportive financially too, funding my business without ever questioning my purchases. When I tell him I need to buy a Cricut machine or raw materials, he just says okay and lets go ahead. What really means the most is the emotional encouragement he gives me. Even when I get a $10 order, he makes me feel like I've achieved something really big. That kind of support has been invaluable to my journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is about doing something of your own and creating something that can be valuable to society. I believe Bae Crafts Studio is doing exactly that because it's making people smile, giving them gifting options, and providing ways for them to give something special to their loved ones. That's my way of contributing towards society, and it's advice that has really shaped how I approach my work.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this field is: don't try to do what your competitors or other creatives are doing. This is a field where your work can be an extension of who you are and your creativity, so you can give something unique to people. Don't try to copy others. Just be yourself and believe in what you are doing. It's a creative thing, so instead of thinking 'oh, they are producing this design, so I better do that,' you should do something which you believe in. That's really important.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think the biggest challenge in my field right now is competition. There are many creative people out there doing so much good work, so the challenge is to make something innovative and give people something they have never seen or heard of. With the growing social media and influencer market, things are racing up a lot. I have to keep up with the speed of coming up with something new at the right time and at the right point. That's the challenge I'm facing right now.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust is the core value that's most important to me in both my personal and professional life. I focus on building trust with my clients because without trust, they wouldn't come back to me and they wouldn't make me part of their special occasions. Since Baycrafts provides party decor solutions and ideas for events like baby showers and weddings, being part of people's special, personal occasions means a lot to me. I can even go into financial losses to make them happy because that trust is so important. Maintaining relations is also key. I feel that when you have trust, everything else follows naturally, like kindness and all the other values.
