Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success primarily to my mother and the strong influence of growing up in a family of educators. From an early age, I was exposed to the impact that passionate teaching can have on students. Watching my mother create engaging, meaningful learning environments inspired me to pursue education as a career. That early exposure shaped my mindset and motivated me to strive toward becoming an effective and impactful educator myself.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would emphasize that education is not a profession you enter for financial gain, but for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. You must have a genuine desire to help others grow and succeed. It is important to commit to continuous professional development, as education is constantly evolving. Staying relevant ensures that you are providing students with the most impactful and current learning experiences. Ultimately, the greatest reward comes from seeing students thrive and achieve their goals, knowing you played a role in their success.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges—and opportunities—is the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and data science. As educators, we must continuously adapt to these changes to remain relevant. At the same time, this presents an exciting opportunity to integrate AI into education, helping students develop skills that align with future workforce demands. Bridging this gap between education and industry is critical to preparing students for long-term success.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value student growth, continuous learning, and community engagement above all. I am committed to creating opportunities that empower students to succeed both academically and professionally. I also believe strongly in staying connected to the community and ensuring that education reflects the evolving needs of society. Leadership, service, and a dedication to lifelong learning guide both my professional work and personal life.
