Ten minutes with Bianca
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith and my grandma "Nonni", to be honest, and the rest of my family. I have a really strong faith, so that is what really kept me going and led me in each step and each direction. And then my Nonni and parents (Dad, Mom, Stepdad, Stepmom) were always behind me, just giving me the best advice and supporting me along the way. I've been focused on creating value rather than chasing titles and just trying to consistently solve problems, build relationships, and deliver results. I also attribute my success to a combination of curiosity, consistency, and a willingness to keep learning. I've never been someone who is satisfied with simply checking the boxes. I'm always looking for ways to create efficiency, drive solutions, and create a better experience for the people around me. I also believe success comes from being adaptable. Some of the biggest growth opportunities in my career came from stepping outside my comfort zone, taking on challenges I hadn't done before, and trusting myself to figure things out.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One piece of advice that has really stayed with me is: don’t make yourself small to make other people comfortable. Especially as women in professional environments, there can be pressure to downplay our ideas, qualifications, or ambitions. Learning to speak confidently about my work and trust my instincts has been incredibly important in my career growth. I’ve also learned that your career doesn’t have to follow a perfectly straight line. Some of the experiences that taught me the most or opened the biggest doors were opportunities I didn’t originally plan for. Being open to growth, even when it looks different than expected, has made a huge difference for me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage her to advocate for herself and not underestimate the value of her voice. Early in your career, it's easy to assume that everyone else has all the answers, but really, your perspective matters. I would encourage her to be a lifelong learner. The workplace is changing rapidly, and the people who stay curious and continue developing new skills will have the greatest opportunities. And then, most importantly, don't wait until you feel 100% ready before pursuing a new opportunity, because confidence often comes after you take the leap and not before. I've also learned that the little things matter - making sure you answer in a timely manner, sending that thank you email, bringing a handwritten note to leave when you leave an interview, maybe even bringing some donuts with you. You have to find your light and use it. What makes you unique? What makes you different? How can you add value? When you show that you're someone who can be trusted to get things done, then opportunities tend to find you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is keeping up with the pace of change. Technology, AI, employee expectations, and workplace culture are evolving faster than ever before. At the same time, that's also one of the greatest opportunities. Organizations have access to tools and insights that can help them work smarter, improve employee experiences, and create more meaningful workplaces. I believe the future belongs to leaders who can balance technology with the human side of business. The companies that succeed will be the ones that embrace innovation while continuing to invest in people.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is at the top of the list. I believe in doing what you say you're going to do and treating people with respect, regardless of their title or position. I also value growth. I want to continually learn, improve, and challenge myself both professionally and personally. Finally, faith, relationships, and service are incredibly important to me. Success is meaningful, but it's even more meaningful when you're using your skills and opportunities to positively impact others. At the end of the day, I want to be known not just for what I accomplished, but for how I treated people along the way. I'm passionate about helping the next generation and giving them the guidance I wish I had. And like I said before, my faith is important to me, I'm on my church's worship team, attend bible studies, and enjoy "sisterhood events" with the woman from church. My boyfriend and I love fitness, travel, and food - including finding new restaurants or activities in the Raleigh area.
